Notes, folders, and tags. The three building blocks of a Hjarni knowledge base.
Three building blocks: notes, folders, tags.
A note is a Markdown file. Title, body, optional summary, optional source URL. That's it.
A folder is for hierarchy. Put a note about a customer interview inside Projects > Customer interviews. Folders nest as deep as you want.
A tag is for cross-cutting categories. A note lives in one folder but can carry many tags. Use tags for things like meeting, idea, or q3-2026.
Markdown is the format. Headings, lists, links, code, tables, all of it. Notes export as .md files at any time.
