Public links anyone can edit

Public links used to be read-only. Now you can let people edit through them.

Open a folder, go to Sharing, and pick Enable link with editing. Anyone with that link can edit the notes inside and tick checkboxes. They do not need a Hjarni account. Existing links stay view-only until you say otherwise.

We built this for the thing people kept doing anyway: planning something together. A trip, a move, a shared reading list. One link, everyone adds to it, nobody signs up.

Before their first edit, a visitor is asked for a name. It sticks to their browser and rides along on every change they make. Open the note's History and you see "Emma (guest) edited the body", sitting in the same timeline as your own edits and your AI's. Anything they changed, you can revert.

Guests can edit notes. They cannot delete them, move them, or touch your folders. Switching a link back to view-only is one click and the URL keeps working. Turning the link off retires that URL for good: enable it again later and you get a fresh one, view-only until you say otherwise.

One note, one link

You no longer need a folder to share one note. Open any note, click Share, and it gets its own link. View-only or editable, the same way folders work.

A single-note link is sealed to that note. Links to your other notes stay plain text inside it, so a shared note never becomes a door into the rest of your knowledge base.
