Remote MCP clients reach the same hosted server over OAuth. REST API clients use a personal API token. Both read and write the same notes.

The remote MCP endpoint is https://hjarni.com/mcp with OAuth. Config shapes vary by client (some want url, some want serverUrl, some use a CLI).
