What Hjarni can do inside ChatGPT

Open and edit notes beside the chat

Keep a note beside your conversation while you read, edit or ask for help with a passage.

1. Ask ChatGPT to open a named Hjarni note. You can also pick a note from the panel's Recent or Folders view.
2. Click Edit, make your changes, then click Save changes.
3. For help with a passage, select the text in the panel and ask in chat. Ask ChatGPT to apply the suggestion when you want it saved.

The Hjarni panel appears where ChatGPT supports app panels. If it does not open, ask ChatGPT to read or update the note instead.

Choose the note ChatGPT should use

Choose the source note for your question without pasting its contents into the conversation.

1. In the ChatGPT desktop message box, type @ and search for a Hjarni note by title.
2. Select the note. Check its folder and date to distinguish notes with similar titles.
3. Ask your question about that note.

Note mentions work in the ChatGPT desktop app. On ChatGPT web or mobile, ask ChatGPT to find and read the note by title.

Keep files with the notes that explain them

Keep a PDF, screenshot or spreadsheet with its note in Hjarni. Attachments are included when you export your notes.

1. In the Hjarni panel, use + Add file or drop a file onto the note.
2. For a browser upload, ask ChatGPT for a link for that note. Open the link, choose your file and upload it.
3. Tell ChatGPT you're done and ask it to confirm the file is attached.

Your Hjarni attachment limits apply. Upload links expire, so use them when you receive them.

Turn new notes into follow-up work

A ChatGPT Work task can turn each new meeting note into an action-item checklist saved in the same note.

1. Copy the full setup prompt from the meeting-note guide into a ChatGPT Work chat.
2. Wait for ChatGPT to confirm monitoring is active for your chosen folder.
3. Create a new note in that folder with the complete minutes, then review the saved AI action items checklist.

Editing an existing note does not start this workflow. Results can take a while, and the task may wait for permission.

Requires ChatGPT Work on the web, or Work with Cloud selected in the desktop app. Workspace controls and permission requests apply.
