Why Hjarni instead of Claude Projects or a local folder
A Markdown folder on your laptop is invisible to Claude.ai in the browser and to Claude iOS on the train. Hjarni is hosted, so the same notes show up in every Claude client you sign into. One knowledge base, every Claude surface.
Claude Projects give Claude a workspace per project. Useful, but the context lives inside Claude and stays there. Hjarni keeps the knowledge on your side, so when ChatGPT or Cursor joins the workflow they read the same notes through MCP.
Folder-level AI instructions in Hjarni let you tell Claude how to behave per project: 'in the Customers folder, quote interviews verbatim; in the Strategy folder, never invent metrics.' That is the part a vector database cannot do.
