Capture flows
- Gmail → Hjarni. Star an email and it lands as a note with sender, subject, and body.
- Google Calendar → Hjarni. Create a meeting note for every event, pre-filled with attendees and description.
- Slack → Hjarni. Save a message in Slack and it becomes a note, with a permalink back to the thread.
- Readwise → Hjarni. Each new highlight becomes a note tagged with the source, so Claude and ChatGPT can quote your reading later.
- Google Sheets → Hjarni. Each new row becomes a note. Useful for intake forms, CRMs, and lightweight trackers.
Reading and research
- Pocket or Instapaper → Hjarni. Save an article and Hjarni stores the URL and excerpt for later.

- Todoist → Hjarni. When you complete a task, log it as a note. Builds a journaling and retro trail automatically.
Outbound flows: Hjarni as source
- Hjarni → Gmail drafts. Tag a note
draftand Zapier turns it into a Gmail draft, ready for you to review and send. - Hjarni → Trello or Linear. New note in your "ideas" folder? Push it to your task tracker as a card or issue.

Common questions
FAQ
Is this free?
Hjarni's API works on all plans, including free. Zapier has its own free tier with limits on how many Zaps you can run per month.
Why is there an invite link?
Hjarni is in early access on Zapier. The invite link lets you use it before it is publicly listed.
Can Zapier replace the MCP connection?
No. Zapier is for automation (when X happens, do Y). The MCP connection is for live AI conversations where ChatGPT or Claude reads and writes your notes interactively. They complement each other.
What happens to notes created by Zapier?
They are regular Hjarni notes. You can edit, tag, move, or delete them like any other note. Your AI can search and use them too.
