Triggers and actions

Trigger

New Note

Fires when a note is created in Hjarni. Use this to push new notes to other apps.

Action

Create Note

Creates a note with a title, body, tags, and folder. Use this to capture data from other apps into Hjarni.

Action

Find Note

Searches notes by query. Use this in multi-step Zaps to look up existing notes before creating or updating them.

Example Zaps

Save Slack messages with a reaction

Star a message in Slack to save it as a note. Next time you ask Claude about that project, the context is already there.

Feed meeting transcripts to your AI

Route transcripts from Otter or Fireflies into Hjarni. Ask ChatGPT "what did we decide last Tuesday?" and it finds the answer.

Turn emails into searchable notes

Star an email in Gmail to save it to Hjarni. Your AI can reference it without you copy-pasting into the chat.

Notify your team when notes land

Post to Slack whenever a new note is created. Your team sees what was captured without needing access to your brain.

FAQ

Is this free?

Hjarni's API works on all plans, including free. Zapier has its own free tier with limits on how many Zaps you can run per month.

Why is there an invite link?

Hjarni is in early access on Zapier. The invite link lets you use it before it is publicly listed.

Can Zapier replace the MCP connection?

No. Zapier is for automation (when X happens, do Y). The MCP connection is for live AI conversations where ChatGPT or Claude reads and writes your notes interactively. They complement each other.

What happens to notes created by Zapier?

They are regular Hjarni notes. You can edit, tag, move, or delete them like any other note. Your AI can search and use them too.
