Team billing and seats
Teams are free to start and then billed per seat, with no AI subscription bundled in. Here is exactly what you pay for, when seats bill, and how to manage them.
Free to start
Every team starts free and stays free for its first 25 team notes. That is room to structure a workspace, invite people, and watch the shared brain work before anything is billed. No credit card to begin.
The free allowance counts notes in the shared team space. Your personal notes, and each teammate's, are separate and are covered by your individual plan.
How seats bill
When the shared space reaches the free note limit, adding more notes prompts the team to start a paid plan, billed per seat. One member is one seat. Nothing is charged until you set that up.
$20 per seat / month
$200 per seat / year if you pay annually. Prices follow your region; the pricing page shows your local rate.
Seats prorate automatically as people join or leave, so you only pay for who is actually on the team during each billing period. Add someone mid-month and the new seat is prorated up from that day; remove someone and it prorates down.
Billing runs on Stripe. As the team owner you manage the card, the plan, and invoices from the team's billing page.

Team AI instructions
Team-level and per-folder instructions every member's assistant follows.
Roles and permissions
Viewer, editor, and admin roles, set team-wide or per folder.
Member management
Invite, remove, and manage teammates, with each change reflected in the seat count.
Managing seats
Seats track membership. There is no separate "buy seats" step: inviting a member adds a seat when they join, and removing a member releases it. The proration keeps the bill matched to your real headcount.
To wind a team down, remove members or cancel the plan from the team billing page. Cancelling stops future charges; your notes remain yours and can be exported at any time.
No AI on the bill
Hjarni does not bundle or resell an AI model. Each teammate brings the ChatGPT, Claude, or other assistant they already pay for, and Hjarni gives it a shared memory. That means no per-message and no per-token costs from Hjarni, and no per-seat AI limit imposed by us.
The only thing a seat pays for is the shared knowledge base and the features around it.
Enterprise
